HI, I’M ALEX— photographer, mom of four, and the heart behind Alexandra Kayy Photography.

I’m originally a Jersey girl, but life has taken me all over. As a military family, we’ve called quite a few places home over the years, including Italy and California, before eventually planting our roots here in Arizona.

Photography has been part of my life for more than a decade, and somewhere along the way, what started as something I loved turned into a career I’m incredibly grateful for.

But if you ask me what really shaped the way I photograph families, it’s motherhood.

I know how quickly the seasons change. The tiny newborn stretches disappear. The chubby baby cheeks thin out. The little hands that reach for yours suddenly don’t feel quite so little anymore.

That’s why I care so much about creating photographs that feel like your family — not stiff poses or forced smiles, but the little connections and details you’ll want to remember years from now.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually somewhere in the middle of the beautiful chaos that comes with raising four kids.

Our life is busy, loud and rarely boring — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I love Jesus, I’m probably working on some kind of creative project, and I’m the person who will fix your hair, straighten your dress, make your toddler laugh, and tell you exactly what to do with your hands so you never have to wonder whether you look awkward.

And yes, I will probably get way too excited when I know we just got the shot.

WHAT I WANT YOU TO FEEL

More than anything, I want you to feel comfortable when you’re in front of my camera.

You don’t need to know how to pose. Your kids don’t need to behave perfectly. And you definitely don’t need to show up feeling like you have it all together.

That part is my job.

You just get to be present with the people you love.
